IAG/IAPSO/IABO Joint AssemblyDynamic Planet 2005: Monitoring and Understanding a Dynamic Planet with Geodetic and Oceanographic ToolsThe 2005 IAG/IAPSO/IABO Joint Assembly offers a scientific program encompassing the most recent advances in geodesy, oceanography and marine biology. The dynamic nature of our planet naturally creates interactions of life within the oceans, the oceans themselves and the continents and many of the symposium sessions cover inter-disciplinary themes. The Joint Assembly comprises sessions unique to each of the three organising bodies, as well as joint sessions on areas of overlapping interest.
To promote the study of the oceans and the interactions that take place at its boundaries with the sea floor, coastal environment and atmosphere, through the use of physics, chemistry, mathematics and biogeochemisty.
Values
IAPSO gives importance to involving scientists and students from developing countries in oceanographic activities.
