IAPSO General Business Meeting 2019: Call for the Agenda
Dear IAPSO National Correspondents,
Dear EC members,
The next General Business Meeting (GBM) for the IAPSO members will take place in connection with the IUGG General Assembly in Montreal, Canada, in July 2019. The date has not yet been set but it will be between 10 and 14 July, 2019, when the scientific sessions of IAPSO are scheduled.
Proposals for the agenda must be sent to the IAPSO Secretary General 6 months before the GBM, i.e., not later than January 10, 2019.
The By-Law 12 of IAPSO states (see http://iapso.iugg.org/home-iapso8/statutes-and-by-laws12.html):
Proposals for the Agenda of the meeting of delegates at General Assemblies of the Union and Association Assemblies shall reach the Secretary General six months before the meetings. The Secretary General shall send the Agenda to the Members and their accredited delegates, through the National Sub-Committees where such exist, at least four months before the meeting. No question not previously placed on the Agenda shall be discussed unless approved by two thirds of the votes of the Members represented at the Assembly.
The President, Vice-Presidents and members of the Executive Committee for the period 2019-2023 will also be elected at this meeting. I will send you the call for nominations in January 2019.
