IAPSO General Business Meeting 2023: Call for the Agenda
Dear IAPSO National Correspondents,
Dear EC members,
The next General Business Meeting (GBM) for the IAPSO members will take place during the IUGG General Assembly in Berlin, Germany, in July 2023. The date has not yet been set but it will be between 12 and 17 July, 2023, when the scientific sessions of IAPSO are scheduled. Further information on the Assembly (e.g., program, accommodation, scientific field trips, and social events) will be soon available on the conference website (https://www.iugg2023berlin.org/).
I have the pleasure to invite you to send proposals for the agenda before 15 January, 2023, in conformity to Article 12 of the By-Laws of IAPSO ("proposals for the agenda must be sent to the IAPSO Secretary General 6 months before the GBM"). You can do this by writing to me at one of the addresses sg@iapso-ocean.org or iapso.sg@gmail.com.
I anticipate that one of the points on the Agenda will concern the election of the Executive Committee of IAPSO for the period 2023-2027. I will send you the call for nominations for candidates later.
Agenda and Minutes of past GMBs are published on the IAPSO website (https://iapso-ocean.org/about-iapso/information/business-meetings.html).
I take this opportunity to inform you that the IAPSO website has been revamped and moved to the new address https://iapso-ocean.org/. Among the novelties, a page has been developed to provide information on interesting events for the IAPSO community (https://iapso-ocean.org/events.html).Inputs from you are warmly welcome.
